We now offer online classes for adults and young performers. All online classes are completely interactive, and in keeping with Factory policy, are limited in size to ensure plenty of individual attention.
Our online classes are all live, and delivered via the free Zoom app and will require an internet-connected desktop or laptop computer, tablet or phone and a quiet, well-lit place in your home.

Learn the basics of On-Camera Acting, and the differences between the techniques used on stage and those used in film and television. Kenneisha Thompson began as an AEA-member theater actor and had to learn what it takes to work on set in front of the lens. This very participatory class will help you make the transition, as she guides your performance to the necessary adjustments needed for the camera.

Voice Over is offered through The Actor Factory now online-only. Jamie Marchi has voiced over 400 characters in anime, video games and animation, and has performed commercials and books on tape. She travels the world making appearances for her characters. The class will cover setting up the home studio, how to find voice work, and she will work with students to learn to improve their narration and character techniques.

Kimberly Condict is a Los Angeles performer and instructor at the legendary The Groundlings and has worked with some of the country’s top sketch writers and performers. This class will teach budding sketch writers and performers how to develop, refine and perform comedy sketches. Students will leave the class with 3-4 polished sketches of their own creation.

It’s hard to play emotional scenes take after take in film, and night after night in theater. Learning the Michael Chekhov Technique of “Psychological Gesture” will probably help. Elizabeth Townsend is a professional actor from New York, and is certified to teach the Chekhov Technique.

What's the best approach to acting for you? This class is a brief history of acting techniques and styles, with focus on the big 20th Century Stanislavski-style master teachers (Strasberg, Adler, Uta Hagen, Meisner & Michael Chekhov.) Learn how to write and develop your own screenplay with a multiple award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. Sterlin Harjo's first three films premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and he currently has films and television series in development with HBO, Amazon and other outlets. One of his current projects, RESERVATION DOGS, co-created with Oscar-winner Taika Waititi, will go into pilot production with the FX Network very soon.

Now, kids from anywhere can attend the quality Actor Factory Young Performer Academy and receive the professional training they deserve.
Multiple instructors from varying backgrounds teach multi-week blocks of concentrated study, providing a fully-rounded, comprehensive immersion in on-camera acting. Kids will learn skills in on-camera acting, auditioning, scene study, character development and improvisation in this semester-long class taught by award-winning filmmakers, working actors and casting professionals.
The final night is a Zoom showcase for parents, family, extended family and friends.

Actor Factory Young Performer Academy improv instructors and professional improv performers Kate McLain-Snipes and Pallas Johnson, both of OKC Improv and Take One Improv, will team-teach this class designed especially for young performers to take via Zoom. It will be an hour of hilarity they will look forward to all week.
