WHAT IS FILM CAMP?
Receive a tailor-made demo reel through our one-of-a-kind, immensely popular Film Camp. Actors from across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, and Florida have journeyed to The Actor Factory, drawn by the reputation of our bespoke, professional-grade demo reel footage.
In this immersive experience, adults delve into film acting techniques, partake in a fast and fun Film Race, and come together with loved ones for a Red Carpet Premiere on Sunday evening. However, the true highlight is the creation of individualized, high-quality demo reels. Your demo reel is a reflection of you as an actor, and at The Factory, our goal is to provide you with marketing material that shows you in your best light.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Campers fill out a brief questionnaire, guiding our staff to curate scenes and characters that are needed for the camper’s demo reel.
Dedicated writers spend the days leading up to camp meticulously crafting these scenes, ensuring they authentically showcase the camper's versatility.
After rehearsing the scenes with the campers, professional filmmakers step in to shoot the scenes, designed to look clipped from full-length projects with other campers as scene partners.

WHAT IS A DEMO REEL?
A Demo Reel is a sampling of your on-camera work, sent to talent agents, casting directors and filmmakers, as well as posted on actors' online casting profiles. The importance of this material has exploded over recent years as more and more actors are booked on projects based solely on their demo reels.

SCHEDULE
Get ready for your cinematic journey with our Film Camp schedule:
Wednesday - 7:00-9:00 pm
Kick off the excitement with a beer and wine reception–a chance to mix and mingle with fellow campers and camp staff. Receive your camp bags, t-shirts, and scenes crafted for your demo reel- written just for you. Campers will also be divided into teams for the Film Race!
Thursday - 1:00 pm-9:00 pm
Dive deep into film acting technique with lessons and exercises. Rehearse your scenes with your scene partners, and prepare your film for the Film Race. (Dinner will be provided)
Red Carpet Premiere
Between a week to 10 days post-camp, you and a guest are invited to walk the Red Carpet. Enjoy a photo opportunity against our backdrop and a pre-screening reception prior to a screening of all demo reel scenes and Film Race shorts on The Factory's impressive 120-inch HD screen.
Friday to Sunday - 1:00 pm-11:00 pm
It’s time to shoot! Film your demo reel scenes, appear as scene partners in other scenes, and film your short film for the Film Race.
Post-Camp
Expect to receive your demo reel scenes (one comedy and one drama, along with all scenes you appeared in) within 2 weeks of camp.

Chris Freihofer is the owner and director of the Actor Factory, a seasoned acting teacher, a professional actor, and Oklahoma’s only CSA casting director. He will help throughout camps and co-direct the demo reels.
JEFFREY NICHOLSON
Position / Role
Award-winning L.A. filmmaker and photographer, known for directing feature films EL COYOTE and SOUL FRACKERS, will co-direct scenes and be the director of photography for the demo reels.

We recognize the financial commitment required for Film Camp. A non-refundable $200 deposit is required upon enrollment to secure your spot.
