Los Angeles talent manager Steven Rodriguez works with actors each week, digging deep and getting to the bottom of scenes from theater and film.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
In this class, students will wrok weekly with Rodriguez, learning his approach to breaking down scenes, getting to to the root of intention, and playing the truth of the intention, all while committing to bold, honest and memorable character choices. Using techniques he learned from Stella Adler and William Esper, Rodriguez pushes actor to find the truth within themselves while honoring what makes every actor unique. This is a serious class for serious actors.

Personal Talent Manager Steven Rodriguez began his journey into
the entertainment industry as an actor. He received his MFA from
the professional actors training program at Rutgers University
where he studied with legendary acting teacher, William Esper.
Upon graduation, he embarked on a professional acting career,
working on stages from New York to Los Angeles and many stops
in between. Additionally, he has made numerous television and
film appearances working with Academy Award winning artists,
which include Anthony Quinn, Joe Pesci and director Mike
Nichols. As his career evolved, Mr. Rodriguez was presented with
new and challenging opportunities within the entertainment
industry which ultimately led him to become a Personal Talent
Manager. Currently he is a Partner at McGowan/ Rodriguez
Management where he represents a diverse group of very talented
actors including: Teri Polo (Meet the Fockers), Jackee Harry
(Sister, Sister), Dylan Walsh (nip/tuck), Tony Scirico, Vincent
Curatola and Vinnie Pastore (The Sopranos), Jesse L Martin (The
Flash) and Seth Gilliam (The Walking Dead) to name a few.
Additionally, Mr. Rodriguez is a Senior Lecturer-Adjunct
Professor at Loyola Marymount University. There he teaches
Career Development, a class designed to transition graduating
acting students from student actor to professional actor. Mr.
Rodriguez also privately coaches a select group of professional
actors in Los Angeles.
