Oklahoma Casting Director and professional actor Chris Freihofer, Director and Founder of The Actor Factory, offers his popular 6-week class.

 

The class is designed for both beginning and advanced actors to receive critique in their audition technique for film and television.  

 

Students will be emailed audition material to prepare during the week prior to class.  These scenes are taken from highly-rated network television series studio features.  The audition material will be accompanied by an assignment involving an area of focus for the audition.  Participants will be videotaped and evaluated during class time, with constructive criticism to improve the actor’s technique.  Each participant will be provided a video link of their class work each week, including his or her on-camera instruction and critique. 

 

Freihofer brings to the classroom the unique perspective of being on both sides of the audition camera in today's market, offering insight unrivaled in the region. Freihofer was named an Oklahoma Film Icon by the deadCenter Film Festival. He brings a unique perspective to the audition classroom as Oklahoma's only member of both SAG-AFTRA and the Casting Society of America.

 

Acting credits include the recent HBOMax series LOVE AND DEATH with Elisabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons, the TV series LONGMIRE, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, ARMY WIVES, PRISON BREAK and as lawyer Dan Wachsberger in the landmark series BREAKING BAD. Film credits include PARKLAND, LEAVES OF GRASS, EX-TERMINATORS and Oliver Stone’s W, among others.

Casting credits include the 2021 Academy Award-winning MINARI, the Matt Damon film STILLWATER, the critically-acclaimed Hulu series RESERVATION DOGS, Martin Scorsese's KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, Paul Dano’s directorial debut WILDLIFE with Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan, The Cannes Film Festival Jury Award-winner AMERICAN HONEY with Shia Lebeouf, William H Macy’s RUDDERLESS, John Wells’ AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, Terrence Malick’s TO THE WONDER, as well as the films THE KILLER INSIDE ME, ELIZABETHTOWN and many, many more.

The class is assisted by professional actor, producer and award-winning filmmaker Clarissa Cozzoni.

The class is open to beginning or advanced actors aged 18 and up.
