In this first-of-its kind class for The Actor Factory, students will work online with beloved Factory teacher and Shakespeare aficionado Alissa Mortimer in a class to teach the basics of mastering the Shakespeare performance.

In a highly interactive online class, students will  learn verse scansion and other language tools and tricks, including how to memorize Shakespeare; and how to make Shakespeare’s language easy to understand.

The class culminates in a memorized Zoom monologue performance.

Alissa Mortimer is a professor of Acting at the University of Oklahoma. She has appeared in film and television, and on stages across the country. She is also an internationally-recognized director of theater, and has immersed herself in Shakespeare's work for the past 20 years.  


She has taught Acting Technique at The Actor Factory since 2009.
