I can only imagine the logistics that went into planning this event and I was super impressed with how smooth everything went. - Drew Robinson
Thank you for this weekend. This camp was the most amazing experience! Everything… from the most talented, professional crew I have worked with, the focused, giving, talented group of actors… the facilities, food, scripts… everything came together to give me the best training, fun, intense, productive acting experience that I have had, I think ever. I can’t wait to see our demos! I know they will be career changing. - Michael Gibbons
I wanted to send a quick note to send a deep and sincere thanks for all of the incredibly hard work everyone put in this weekend for camp. It was an unreal experience to come back...in such a safe environment. I seriously loved my scenes so much, and I felt able to play, try new things, and grow in an endless number of ways....You don't get that kind of attention in most places, but it made an unbelievable difference for me by the time I stepped onto set.
I love any time I get to spend with The Actor Factory, but this camp was a 10/10 experience for me. - Ty Johnson
Who says summer camp is just for kids?
The Actor Factory also offers our fun and valuable Film Camp for Adults! Campers over 18 get to participate in the best of what makes our Film Camp so successful, but geared for grown-ups!
View snippets of demo reels filmed at recent Actor Factory camps. These are only snippets. Actual demo reel scenes run between 45 and 90 seconds each. The above video is provided as a sample of our production quality.
Adults learn film acting techniques, participate in a fast and fun Film Race and gather with loved ones on Sunday evening for a Red Carpet Premiere.
But most importantly, all campers film quality, custom-made demo reels, written and created just for them. By filling out a brief questionnaire in advance, camp staff learn what types of scenes and characters our campers need to have on their demo reels. Writers spend days leading up to camp carefully crafting short scenes or moments to best reflect those requests. After rehearsing and planning scenes with the campers, professional filmmakers are brought in to shoot these demo reels scenes to look as if they are taken from full-length projects, with other campers serving as scene partners. The quality of your demo reel speaks volumes about you as an actor, and The Factory strives to provide you with marketing material that shows you in your best light.
Wednesday - 7:00-9:00 pm
Mix and mingle with fellow campers and camp staff in this beer and wine reception. Receive your camp bags, t-shirts, and scenes for your demo reels, written just for you. Campers will also be divided into teams for the Film Race!
Thursday - 1:00 pm-9:00 pm
Focus your film acting technique with lessons and exercises in the craft. Rehearse your scenes with scene partners. Prepare your film for the Film Race. (Dinner provided)
Friday to Sunday - 12:00 pm-10:00 pm
Film your demo reel scenes, appear as scene partners in other scenes, and film your short film for the Film Race.
RED CARPET PREMIERE
Within about a week or two after camp, you and a guest are invited to walk the Red Carpet, get a photo on our backdrop, and be treated to a reception prior to a screening of all demo reel scenes and our Film Race shorts on The Factory's giant 120-inch HD screen.
You will be emailed your demo reel scenes (one comedy and one drama) plus all of the scenes you appeared in within 2 weeks of camp.
Enrollment fees include your camp swag bag, filled with fun Factory material, a camp t-shirt, and two tickets to the Red Carpet Premiere, as well as a digital copy of your completed demo reel scenes.
